The Oase Bitron C 36W is a UV clarifier for ensuring clear water in larger wildlife ponds and goldfish ponds.
UV light kills unicellular algae that cause green water and is a practical way to maintain good water clarity.ย UV is also an effective means of sterilization, killing disease-causing bacteria and viruses, which is highly beneficial to the health and well-being of your fish.
The Bitron range of UV clarifiers has self-cleaning rotors. The flow of water continuously spins the rotor around the quartz glass tube containing the UV bulb. This prevents dirt deposits and ensures maximum UV light penetration into your pond water. The adjustable bypass mechanism allows easy regulation of flow to ensure optimal rotation for cleaning. Integrated magnets also protect the filter equipment from lime deposits.
UV clarifiers should be used in conjunction with a filter that will physically remove dead algae from pond water. This is important to reduce organic load to prevent future algal blooms, and to remove suspended solids that can block UV rays and hinder efficiency.
The Bitron C 36W connects directly to the BioSmart 18000, BioSmart 36000, BioTec ScreenMatic 40000, and BioTec ScreenMatic 60000 filters. However, it may be used in conjunction with any filter system.
