The Oase ProfiClear Premium XL Pump-Fed Discharge Module is a biological filter designed specifically for use with the ProfiClear Premium DF-XL Pump-Fed OC drum filter system.

It can be connected either directly to the drum filter module, or more typically, to the last in a series of up to three ProfiClear Premium Moving Bed Modules in between. Filtered water is return to the pond via two 110mm connections.

This module contains ‘Clearwave Blocks’ – high surface area biological filter media structures colonised by bacteria that break down ammonia less toxic nitrite and then to harmless nitrate. An in-built aeration system provides a constant supply of oxygen to bacterial colonies, maximizing their growth and capacity for processing dissolved organic waste.

The ProfiClear Premium XL Pump-Fed Discharge Module has integrated aeration. It should be connected to an AquaOxy 1000 to provide a steady supply of oxygen to bacteria upon the clearwave filter media blocks.
