The 38mm (1.5″) Black Pond Hose x 20m is a premium quality heavy duty suction hose for connecting pond pumps, pond filters, UV clarifiers and other pond equipment.

Our black pond hose is made of pressure resistant polymer with an inner spiral coil for maximum strength and durability. It has a smooth black finish to ensure minimal water friction loss, and can be curved around almost any obstacle making it more versatile than solvent weld pipe. It can be buried underground or used above ground, being both UV resistant and temperature resistant.

Unlike commonly sold corrugated pond hose, our black pond hose will not become brittle and crack with age. Our premium quality pond hose is the material of choice for professional installers and pond keepers alike. It is specially designed for connecting submersible or dry mounted pumps to pond filters, UV clarifiers, water features, streams and waterfalls.

When it comes to pond hose diameter, 1.5″ is generally the optimum size for most pond equipment installations. Hose diameters smaller than this can cause pond pumps to work harder, causing overheating, and reducing their life span. Exceptions to this rule are: some small pumps and filters designed to operate with smaller hose bores, and large / high performance pumps that may require 2″ hose for optimal pumping over long distances and/or uphill.
